1. Smiles and frowns 2. The paper basket activity 3. The privilege walk 4. Circle up What we did: We were able to check in using smiles and frowns today. It's so nice to see everyone sharing their accomplishments, things they are looking forward to and things that are weighing on them. I'm proud of my class for working so hard to build a respectful classroom culture. Afterwards we explored privilege using the PAPER BASKET ACTIVITY from the CCDI.ca website. This activity allowed us to examine privilege from an objective perspective as well as begin to analyze our own personal privilege. We then moved into doing our Privilege Walk to explore personal privilege. NOTE: this was a risky activity and needs to be approached with care and respect for all. After our privilege walk we de-briefed in a circle and talked about what stood out for us the most.
